Ireland Wedding Venues

Marie & Graham / Powerscourt Theatre & Fallon and Byrne wedding by This Modern Love

Marie & Graham’s wedding at the Powerscourt Theatre & Fallon and Byrne

Marie and Graham had a brilliantly non-traditional wedding in Dublin city centre just after Christmas. They had a first look at St. Georges market which was very brave, and so worth it. And a red dress! (or is it burnt orange?). Either way, so awesome. Marie is the only other person we’ve met to wear this colour on her wedding day - the other being TML’s Claire!

Their ceremony in the Powerscourt Theatre is one of the loveliest we’ve been to. Followed by a swift Guinness or two in the Library Bar, before heading to Fallon and Byrne for their reception. Wedding heaven.

The full story of Marie and Graham’s wedding is on One Fab Day.

Cheryl & Dave - Millhouse Wedding - Slane by This Modern Love

Cheryl & Dave’s Millhouse Wedding in Slane

It's pretty likely that Cheryl, Dave and I have been to about 50 of the same gigs over the years without knowing it. Kindred spirits for sure! And shooting their music focussed, fabulous 1940's wedding in the Millhouse in Slane was a dream. Loved this day from beginning to end.

Big thanks to One Fab Day for featuring it.

Grace + Gareth - Mount Druid Wedding by This Modern Love

I arrived in pitch black the night before the wedding and eventually managed to find the shepherd's hut where I was staying. The embers were still glowing in the stove in the morning when I woke up, and stumbled out the door to see where I was... the free and wild eco-glamping playground in Westmeath that is Mount Druid.

It was a perfect fit for the wonderful mayhem that was Grace and Gareth's wedding. These guys took handmade to a new level, and their creative stamp was everywhere. We're not usually ones for blogging the details, but everything here just looked so damned fantastic!

Heartfelt and hilarious Co. Clare camaraderie. With robot drawings. All kinds of amazing. Big thanks to Grace & Gareth for having us along.
