Where are you based and where do you shoot?

We're based near Belfast in Northern Ireland, and we photograph weddings all over Ireland. We occasionally shoot further afield. We'll go anywhere we're invited :)

What is your style of photography?

Relaxed, documentary photography. We love making honest, unstaged images full of joy and connection. We explain our documentary wedding photography approach here.

It’s a big decision, can I trust you with my day?

It’s so important that you like and trust your wedding photographer. We’ve been photographing weddings for 15 years, so we’re a safe pair of hands. Tim has a masters in fine art, is a working artist and has a carefully trained eye. Have a good deep dive on the site and online, read our reviews, ask around (Ireland is a small place!), have a chat with Claire by email or a call with Tim. We’re happy to answer any questions, big or small.

How long will you stay at our wedding?

As long as you need us. We usually like to start when you’re getting ready and stay until either dinner or the dancing. Bespoke shorter coverage available on off-peak dates - just ask us :)

Do you charge extra for travel?

After 100 miles from Belfast, we add a minimal mileage rate/flights, and accommodation if required. We’ll do our best to keep these expenses to a minimum.

How many photographers will there be?

Tim is This Modern Love’s solo shooter. Everything you see on this site is just him doing his thing. A second photographer is available on request.

How many images will I receive?

We will give you all the images from your wedding, individually edited - minus doubles and the ones of you blinking or looking weird. There is no set quantity of images, but for most people it ends up at 500+.

How will I receive my photographs?

First, we'll send you an online slideshow with all the highlights of your day. You can post and share this wherever you like. After that we'll send you your full gallery - also online and password protected. The final images are high resolution with print rights, and you can download them directly from the gallery. No hidden costs.

When will I receive them?

Typically, we deliver images 4-8 weeks after your wedding. This may be slightly longer in peak wedding season (May to September) and considerably quicker during other parts of the year.

Do I have to decide on an album right now?

Nope. If you prefer you can provisionally book a digital only package now and make a decision on albums later – even after the wedding.

How do I make a booking?

Just drop us a line. Come and see us if you would like – we’d love that. Or we can just chat on Zoom. To confirm a booking we ask for a deposit of £500.
