Eimear & Aaron's Wedding at Montalto Estate and Carriage Rooms

We’ve had the privilege of photographing weddings in most counties of Ireland over the last year or two. But we haven’t had time yet to share them with you! So we’re going to try and do this over the next little while, so you can see what we’ve been up to.

First up, our home turf of County Down. Here are a few photographs from Eimear and Aaron’s beautiful wedding at Montalto Estate and Carriage Rooms, just outside Ballynahinch. We love the really relaxed chemistry between Eimear and Aaron in these portraits.

Old Court Chapel Wedding - Rachael & Greg

Old Court Chapel is a hidden gem of a wedding venue in Strangford, Co. Down. When Rachael and Greg were married there last summer, we were blown away by the beauty and easy hospitality of the place.

That summer, Claire had been researching her family history and stumbled on a link with Old Court. At one time her family had been boat builders on the estate, working in the same boathouse that’s now used as the bridal suite. Sian and Peter from Old Court took us into their home to show us old pictures, and invited us down to stay in the boathouse. It was very moving to walk around in the footsteps of ancestors. So to say that we feel a connection with this place is an understatement.

Rachael and Greg were a joy to be around. Their enthusiasm was infectious and I remember photographing the day with a huge smile on my face. Their reception by the side of the lough, with the sun beaming down through shady trees was idyllic. A laid-back day, full of warmth and generosity - like the spirit of Old Court itself.

A huge thanks to Rachael and Greg, their families and friends for having us.

We love nothing more than a Belfast wedding. These are just a few snaps from Karen and Jeff's November wedding at the Merchant Hotel. All portraits - which is unusual for our documentary selves. But we were looking through their gallery this week and they just jumped out at us. Sometimes you want clifftops for a portrait. But sometimes a carpark can be even better...
